**The apprenticeship**

Our host has been in the construction business for 50 years and have experienced, qualified tradesmen on the job to oversee, train and coach daily. Some of the activities involved include:

- Handle and store painting and decorating materials
- Prepare uncoated surfaces for painting
- Erect and maintain trestle and plank systems
- Match specific paint colours

**What will you bring to the role?**

Our team will support you during the apprenticeship, but there are some minimum requirements and key traits we're looking for:

- An aspiration to complete a cert III in painting and decorating
- An eye for detail with the ability to follow directions well
- Ability to work Monday to Friday 06:30 - 3pm full time with a 12:30 finish on Fridays
- Drivers Licence - There is limited public transport available for the early start time
- White Card
- Provide two references

**Community Solutions **is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
