The Transport Network Security and Resilience (TNSR) Branch has a state-wide focus on the coordination of TMR's emergency management and transport security framework. TNSR has three major components: Office of the Chief, Emergency Risk and Resilience and Transport Security.
The Transport Security (TS) program includes leading TMR's Protective Security Framework, administering the Transport Security (Counter-Terrorism) Act 2008 (the Act) and facilitating the TS Transport Precinct Security Program to prepare TMR and the surface transport industry against terrorism and related security acts by working closely with Commonwealth, State (particularly the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and Queensland Police Service) and Local Government agencies and surface transport industry stakeholders.
In the role of temporary full-time Principal Advisor (Regulation and Capability) supported by a multi-skilled team you will be accountable for:

- Leading the delivery of a program of work to administer the Act, the TS Transport Precinct Security Program and other activities as determined by the Manager (Security Regulation and Capability).
- The development of stakeholder management and capability building strategies (such as exercise development and delivery), covering all impacted and interested TMR, transport operator and external party stakeholder whilst ensuring strategies and plans leverage existing relationships between stakeholders and TMR.
- Providing authoritative and strategic advice to the Manager (Security Regulation and Capability), Director (Transport Security), departmental and industry stakeholders, and state and national disaster and security representatives on complex strategic policy matters.
- Developing and preparing high level briefing papers, reports, guidance material and/or correspondence, and where required deliver verbal presentations and briefings.
- Representing the team and/or department at forums, committees and working groups concerned with developing, coordinating, and implementing policies or projects consistent with Queensland's counter-terrorism and security strategic priorities.
- Identifying and implementing customer and business improvement opportunities.
- Contributing to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy and procedures and participating in risk management and corrective action programs.
