Operating for 75 years, our expertise spans the building, construction, and infrastructure sectors.We support our clients with an award-winning team of specialists in portfolio and program advisory, quantity surveying and cost management, commercial and financial advisory, carbon and sustainability, and asset and facilities management.With a global footprint covering Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India, Middle East, North America, Africa, the UK and Europe, our clients can tap into the collective thinking of over 2,000 of the best people in the industry, operating from over 70 offices.Job DescriptionThe WT Sydney office continues to grow with high-profile new engagements landing across a broad range of sectors and with existing major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team.This role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.This role is responsible for:Liaising with clients, architects and main contractorsIdentifying and facilitating new business opportunitiesMaster-plan and feasibility budgetsCost checking of developing designTender evaluations and analysisCash flow projectsProcurementCost reportingEvaluation of variationsValuationsFinal account reportingClaims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claimsInvestment analysisFormulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plansQualificationsRelevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementFull Australian working rights and currently located in AustraliaRICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regardedProficient in the use of Cost XA thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project reviewHighly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clientsExcellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissionsAdditional informationAt WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including:Paid professional memberships- support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS and AIQSWellbeing days - time to focus on your wellbeing and the communityWT's balanced way of workingWhen you're working from the office, you'll be in an award-winning office fit-out which supports flexible and activity-based working in a prime location with amazing viewsIf you're keen to and advance and broaden your career within the construction industry, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
