Job DescriptionProgram Officer: Cultural Strategy and Creative Economy - Term Contract until June 2026The City of Parramatta is going through unprecedented change and transformation as it becomes Sydney's Central City.
The intensity of growth and investment in City of Parramatta means that Council, their partners, and community have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the City's future and ensure it is culturally, socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable.We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Officer looking after programs and projects within the Cultural Strategy and Creative Economy (CSCE) team in Council's City Culture Business Unit.You will work strategically across Council and with external stakeholders to deliver CSCE programs and projects, with a focus on night-time economy programs including Purple Flag.Key Responsibilities:Work with internal and external stakeholders on strategic projects and programsConduct research into place-making, safety and vibrancy initiativesPro-actively work to support the arts, culture, live music, and entertainment capacity of the CityCollaborate on marketing and communication initiativesAbout YouWe are looking for someone with:Tertiary qualification that relates to planning, business innovation, project management and/or other relevant discipline.Demonstrated experience in developing strategic documents and policiesProven ability to identify key issues and opportunities, with a track record of resolving complex challenges through innovation and collaboration.Demonstrated experience in leading projects, managing budgets and contracts, and delivering outcomes within tight deadlines and competing priorities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships across diverse audiences.What's On OfferTerm Contract Opportunity until June 2026We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $87,851 to $96,771 plus 12% superannuation.In addition City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which include:A range of flexible work arrangements including hybrid WFH arrangementsCentral Parramatta location (Public transport at our door, discounted parking)Significant leave benefits (up to 12 days flexi-time, 3 additional leave days at Christmas, 15 days sick/personal leave including 2 days health and wellbeing leave per year)Learning and Development opportunitiesHealth and Wellbeing programs (Fitness Passport, Flu Shots)Want to know more?
