About This Role

The Program Officer provides high level administrative services, including the case management of complaints to enable the Councils to meet their statutory requirements regarding the regulation of health practitioners in NSW.

Crown Clerk 5/6, salary from $99,938 - $110,271 plus Super and annual leave loading

What You'll Be Doing

Roles will be allocated responsibility in one or more areas, such as:
  • processing of complaints received by the Councils in relation to potential misconduct
  • managing health practitioners whose health is impaired
  • managing health practitioners whose professional performance is unsatisfactory

About You

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality administrative support to committees and delegates, preferably within a regulatory environment.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and proven ability to manage high volume workloads, to work autonomously and be proactive
  • High level of understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements; ability to be sensitive and discreet in a range of situations
  • Experience in the review / development of operational policies and procedures

Working at Health Professional Councils Authority

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.

The Medical Council team is located in Gladesville, in a heritage listed building surrounded by a beautiful park close to public transport with a free onsite parking The HPCA upholds NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
