Viva Energy's Geelong Refinery employs around 700 people and supplies over 50 percent of Victoria's and 10 percent of Australia's fuel.

The refinery can process up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day, manufacturing petrol, diesel, LPG, jet fuel, avgas, bitumen, specialty solvents for a wide range of industries. We now have a great opportunity for a **Reliability Manager **to join the team to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the refinery.

This role ensures coordination for essential engineering support to frontline staff maintaining the plant and responding to day-to-day equipment failures. Including:

- Development of major equipment overhaul scopes.
- Development and implementation of tracking and assurance activities to ensure effectiveness of tactical strategies.
- Reliability improvement of rotating and other mechanically driven equipment and electrical assets.
- Delivery of technical support, including vendor liaison, to minimise the impact of equipment downtime.
- Liaise with key Operations stakeholders to provide Engineering support to mitigate risks to the delivery of the business plan.
- Ensure asset-related failures are investigated and learnings shared and implemented.

**Qualifications**:
You are a Subject Matter Expert for instrument and electrical assets, particularly their reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You also:

- Am an effective leader of teams, possessing effective communication and coordination skills with the ability to lead, coach and mentor.
- Possess excellent stakeholder management skills (both internal and external).
- Have demonstrated experience working within a heavy production or manufacturing environment (oil & gas, mining or manufacturing).
- Hold detailed experience with electrical equipment in hazardous areas (EEHA).
- Distributed control systems experience (Yokogawa) is desirable.
- Able to work autonomously and effectively prioritise and manage your time to meet your commitments and hold yourself accountable for the outcomes.
