The Geospatial Section Leader supports the Director of Operations Digital Solutions ANZ, providing effective leadership to the Geospatial teams in our Central, Western and Northern Australian locations. This leadership position role models Jacobs' core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture which embodies Jacobs' Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of our people whilst enabling effective client delivery.
This opportunity is central in positively engaging our teams and clients at the highest levels to understand and support their aspirations. Working with four Team Leaders, each oversee and manage a medium sized technical team, the key focus areas include:
- Articulate clear direction, be a positive role model and ensure our business remains client focused.
- Enable team members to link their individual goals to key business objectives to deliver against business goals and to build satisfying and rewarding careers.
- Support the team to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
- Safeguards responsible and proactive commercial management, making disciplined investment decisions.
- Leverage strong and trusted relationships to build and develop profitable workload pipeline alongside our key clients.
**Here's What You'll Need**:
- Well developed leadership skills, experienced managing large, geographically diverse teams.
- Previous experience hiring, developing, and retaining talent to ensure a competitive range of skills and abilities are accessible to respond and support client requirements.
- Ability or exposure to growing a practice capability, developing profitable workload pipelines while enhancing client relationships.
- Understanding of working in a matrixed environment with various operational business groups.
- Domain and project expertise in Geospatial Digital Solutions, in a range of areas related to infrastructure, the built environment, water, transport, government, power or other sectors.
- Previous success advising a range of key client groups, proactively analysing market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Sophisticated interpersonal skills: one who develops others, inspires innovation, effectively building client relationships.
