Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionateBusiness Development Managerto complement our sales teams and drive MICE Business.
In this role, you will report to and work closely with the Director of Sales to grow the MICE segments and contribute toward growth within the company.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role.
What You'll Be Doing (Duties & Responsibilities)
Proactively seek out new business opportunities in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) segment
Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, PCOs, and event organizers
Create compelling proposals and presentations that reflect client needs and Stamford's capabilities, in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery and client satisfaction
Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets and performance KPIs
What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a proactive sales role within hotel MICE or Conference centres
A strong network and understanding of the Brisbane events market
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
A self-starter with a genuine passion for hospitality and client service
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
