Senior Solution Architect
This is a mid-senior level contract position for a Senior Solution Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality of solution architecture work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing systems and software to solve business problems.
Lead and deliver complex application development projects that align with strategic objectives.
Design and deliver new functional solutions, providing ongoing operational support while ensuring adherence to time, budget, and scope constraints.
Requirements:
Formal TOGAF Certification - optional
Strong knowledge and understanding of frameworks, legislation, policies, procedures, and information management requirements relevant to the nominated domain.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Professional presentation skills.
Substantial experience in architecture design, particularly within the context of large-scale government projects.
Proficiency in relevant technologies, frameworks, and tools, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions.
Data governance, privacy laws, and other pertinent policies that impact solution delivery, ensuring all architectural decisions align with statutory requirements.
Proven ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and facilitate discussions that drive consensus on architectural strategies, ensuring alignment with project and organisational goals.
Understanding of architecture principles, enterprise technologies.
Business process improvement: SFIA Level 6.
Monitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies, assessing and documenting impacts, threats, and opportunities to the organisation.
Enterprise and business architecture SFIA Level 5.
Innovation: SFIA Level 6.
Specifies and designs large or complex software applications, components, and modules; evaluates software designs for standards and security.
Leads the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
Stakeholder relationship management: SFIA Level 6.
Develops and drives adoption of organisational policies, standards, guidelines for system design.
Implements the governance framework to enable governance activity to be conducted.
Information assurance: SFIA Level 5.
Requirements definition and management: SFIA Level 6.
Strategic planning: SFIA Level 5.
Experience working in similar roles is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Services Australia landscape and be able to lead and deliver complex projects.
