One of our clients in the payments space is looking for a Technical Lead as they move their payment services into Golang. We're looking for a Tech Lead to "lead" the charge. This global software company who process transactions globally want to provide ownership for a new team. This is a permanent opportunity based in Melbourne, with a 1 day (flexible) work from the office policy.

**About the opportunity**

The Engineering teams at our client have full end-to-end ownership of the work they are delivering deliver. You will come in as a Tech Lead to help build out and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. You will own the technical roadmap in conjunction with both internal and external customers.

Your role will involve:

- Designing, implementing and maintaining platforms, APIs, workflows, and tools
- Provide technical leadership for your team of engineer, whilst mentoring junior engineers
- Collaborating closely with other teams.
- Build scalable, performant, sustainable, and maintainable code bases for our technology.

Our current stack:

- Java/Spring/NodeJS microservices
- AWS

**About you**:

- Technical leadership experience
- Experience in Java software development
- Recent commercial experience in Go across the stack
- Experience with AWS
- Good knowledge of CI/CD practices, we believe in DevOps as a culture and therefore DevOps teams.

Nice to haves:

- Experience working on a global scale.
- Experience within the payments
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering methodologies
