We have multiple opportunities available for Finance Partners to join our Defence division and support with this new contract. These are being offered as permanent full-time positions that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia.

About the role

You will provide strategic financial leadership and support to ensure the successful execution of the contract. You will oversee financial operations, optimise financial performance, manage risks, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements. As the key adviser to senior management and stakeholders, you will deliver financial insights and strategies to drive the achievement of organisational goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the contract's objectives and goals.- Overseeing the preparation, monitoring, and management of budgets for multiple bases across the region.- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.- Conducting detailed cost analysis and forecasting to support decision-making and optimise financial performance.- Identifying financial risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the financial stability of the contract.- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, government agencies, and contractors, to provide financial insights and support.- Coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.- Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

About you- Considerable experience in senior finance or accounting, preferably within the defence or government sector.- Experience managing finances for multiple locations within a state or region.- Familiarity with government financial regulations and compliance requirements.- Experience coordinating and managing financial audits.- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.- Professional certification (CPA) is preferred.- Valid driver's licence.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
