**We will count on you to**:
- Support Investment Services, first and second Line of defence in carrying out governance activities related to valuation.
- Be responsible for regular monitoring and reporting of valuation of unlisted/illiquid assets under Mercer Investments Australia (MIAL).
- Facilitate greater collaboration between first and second lines of defence in relation of risk relevant to Investments Services area.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business objectives, challenges, and both current and emerging risks.
- Provide support to the Senior Manager in addressing any audit queries, both internal and external, pertaining to Valuation.
- Review any CPS 226 (initial margin) 'in scopes' requirements and liaise with managers and Custodians on set ups and process.
- Ensure attestation to the periodical risk and compliance obligations.
- Ensure Compliance of all processes with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist to implement the risk management framework for MIAL and be a change leader in this space.
**What you need to have**:
- A strong understanding of financial markets and investment management processes, including the drivers behind market movements and knowledge of asset manager processes.
- Investment Compliance experience (2+ years) from a funds management background required
- A tertiary qualification and/or industry specific qualification such as a law degree or other equivalent university qualification
- Experience with a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm preferred but not essential.
- Good organisational and excel skills are a must.
