About the role:
The Cybersecurity Architect – Technical Lead, Procurement and Contract Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Victorian Health Sector's cybersecurity uplift, including the strategic delivery procurement to replace the Statewide Security Operations Centre.
This role provides deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture and complex procurement. The Architect will ensure continuity of strategic cybersecurity initiatives, mitigate delivery risks, and maintain momentum on high-priority programs.
The Cybersecurity Architect – Technical Lead, Procurement and Contract Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and sector partners to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cybersecurity solutions that protect Victorian health systems and data.

Do you have experience in?
Assisting and supporting the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer with the implementation of the Victorian Health Sector\'s Cyber Strategy 2025–2030 and its delivery plan.
Identifies and responds to new and emerging strategic issues impacting on the operating environment.
Large scale procurement expertise – managing the establishment of contracts in excess of $30 million over the life of the contract.
Operational experience with the following tools: Endpoint detection, vulnerability management, Security Information and Event Management, Security Orchestration, Automation and Response, firewalls, network segmentation, credential protection, email security, network access control and asset discovery.
Responsible for meeting service objectives, including financial, quality and time related targets for programs or major projects
Qualifications & Specialist Expertise
Qualifications
Mandatory - a post-graduate certification in cyber security or ICT, Information Security.
Desirable – infrastructure or network architecture certifications, such as e.g. CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, etc.
Specialist Expertise - Refer to PD for Technical Expertise
Victorian Health Sector experience.
Large scale procurement expertise – managing the establishment of contracts in excess of $30 million over the life of the contract.
Business analysis experience, defining requirements for technical cyber security procurements.
Experience in conducting business architecture design, including aligning technology capability to business needs.
Sound understanding of network architecture principles, design, and implementation.
