A well regarded global company is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager (preferably with a Quantity Surveying background) to provide detailed quantity and technical data to support preparation and analysis of Contract Variations and Progress Claims along with providing financial management support, ensuring the successful executing of project works within budget and in a safe environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparing information and correspondence for contractual variations and reporting
- Clearly communicating information on contracts to customers
- Providing timely guidance and advice to ensure contract and quantity surveying activities comply with laws, regulations, policies, systems and guidelines
- Analysing project cost data, making recommendations for action regarding contract interpretation from post contract to final account
- Analysing materials, products, or qualitative or quantitative work outputs for quality, accuracy and completeness
- Providing advice on contact interpretation, payments, changes in scope of works, variations, claims and final accounts to project management teams
- Ability to interpret and ascertain specific references or inferences

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying (QS) or significant construction or engineering project experience
- 5+ years' senior-level experience in commercial management with a detailed understanding of contractual arrangements, clauses and abatements
- Prior experience in cost planning and estimating across multiple projects
- Preparation of engineering estimates, quotes, or tenders
- Significant experience reading detailed drawings and material take offs
- Sound understanding of contract terms and conditions, financial analysis
- Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
- Developed analytical and planning / prioritisation skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills to ensure the timely and consistent tracking of income, project payments and variations and communicating these effectively to board level
