Job Description
We are seeking individuals with a professional background inPsychology or Rehabilitation Counsellinginterested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Wollongong, NSW.
Responsibilities
Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
Work across schemes such as workers' compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded programs
Help clients achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
Complete assessments including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications inPsychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling
General or Provisional registrationwith AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC
Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Compassion, kindness and empathy
Strong time management skills
A current NSW Driver's Licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is required
