**The opportunity we have available**:
The NFDH offers a unique experience working across both technical (data processing and analysis) and strategic deliverables (policy development, program management and governance). We are a supportive, enthusiastic and positive team, shaping government policy and emerging national data solutions for freight and transport.

With our expanding data portfolio, we are seeking an experienced APS6 data analyst to join us. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your analytical, data management and systems design skills in a high-profile program and collaborative team environment.

**What will you do?**:
Duties of the position include:

- Engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical and strategic projects.
- Using programming languages including R and SQL to clean, compile and analyse datasets (including modelling). This may also include reconciling data from multiple sources.
- Design, develop and/or update new and existing data products for publication, and prepare summary statistics and charts. Programs used include Azure Databricks, RStudio, ArcGIS and PowerBI.
- Assist in undertaking ad hoc data and information requests.
- Assist the team through quality assurance and peer review processes.
- Possible supervisor or mentor responsibilities.

- Demonstrating a written and verbal communication style that is clear, concise and is readily understood by the intended audience; the ability to communicate in writing and verbally with a wide range of people
