Seeking an APS 5 Protective Security Advisor to fill a 12-month labour hire role with a Federal Government agency. NV1 Clearance required.

**Exciting Opportunity for a Protective Security Advisor**:

- Location: Canberra | Full-time, 4 days per week in-office | NV1 Clearance Required_
**Hourly Rate**: $55 - $65 (plus 11.5% super, increasing to 12% post June 2025)

**What You'll Do**:
In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of protective security functions, offering expert advice, implementing security protocols, and ensuring seamless operations across multiple security systems. Your work will include managing contracts, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, providing high-level advice on security risk management, and overseeing the security needs of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Security Operations Management**: Oversee the daily operations of security functions including pre-employment screening, clearance arrangements, and incident management.
- **Provide Expert Guidance**: Deliver advice on security matters to leadership and employees, helping them navigate risk mitigation, compliance, and incident resolution.
- **Supervise Support Staff**: Manage a team, including contractors, ensuring that security-related services are provided efficiently and effectively.
- **Risk and Issue Management**: Work closely with operational managers to identify risks and assist in developing response plans for risk mitigation and security improvements.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring security needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

**What We're Looking For**:

- **NV1 Security Clearance** (or ability to obtain and maintain).
- In-depth knowledge of **Australian Government Security Frameworks**, particularly the Protective Security Policy Framework.
- Proven ability to work independently and make decisions in line with security priorities and policies.
- Strong communication skills to provide high-level guidance and advice on security matters.
- Ability to manage diverse teams and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- **Australian Citizenship** is a condition of eligibility.
