**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented **Principal Technical Officer** with avionics networking, communication, and sensors integration expertise to join the Mission Systems and Ground Systems (MS&GS) Capability and support the Airpower Teaming System (ATS) programme within the Ground Segment Team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of the MQ-28A Ghost Bat capability to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), which is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered, and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years.

**About you**
- Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of your role.
- Proactive with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

- Demonstrate technical excellence through adherence to policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of diverse solutions and work statements for suppliers.
- Support the development of product definition data and the configuration management of system infrastructure.
- Support, plan, and conduct integration and verification activities.
- Integrate commercial and / or military avionics networking, communication, sensors, and other Radio Frequency (RF) technologies into the platform and subsystems.

**Experience / Qualifications
Essential:

- Qualifications in an electrical / electronic or equivalent discipline.
- Demonstrated recent experience of at least five (5) years in a similar or equivalent role.
- Demonstrated skills in technical / systems engineering processes and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Australian Citizenship to meet ADF security and export control requirements.

Desirable:

- Experience in Defence industry.
- Experience in a safety critical and / or regulated industry.
- Experience in complex electrical / electronic systems development from concept through to production acceptance.
