Overview
Day Shift Machine Operator (Bricks) – Thomastown, VIC. CSR Limited is hiring a reliable and proactive Machine Operator to inspect bricks, identify and remove defective products, and operate multiple machines. You will help maintain quality standards and support a safe, clean work environment. Onsite training and upskilling are provided to support progression within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect bricks for defects and sort accordingly.
Remove second-class products and place them in the designated carousel.
Operate machinery and perform routine fault-finding and quality control checks.
Report unsafe conditions, machinery issues, or near misses.
Always wear and maintain proper PPE.
Check machine guards and mobile equipment before use.
Follow safety procedures including lock out/tag out and confined space protocols.
Maintain a clean work area and dispose of waste appropriately.
Report colour variations to the leading hand.
Support team members by covering breaks and assisting during breakdowns.
Perform other tasks as directed, within your skill level.
Working Hours
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with casual overtime available on some Saturdays. Flexibility to work additional hours as required by the business is appreciated.
What You Bring To The Role
A strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Previous experience in a production or similar environment (preferred).
Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
A proactive attitude and attention to detail.
A current forklift licence is a plus.
