We are a proud community organisation and are well regarded for providing a pleasurable and entertaining experience for our members and visitors.Based in Bathurst, the successful candidate will coordinate, administer and report on the BYM programs in Bathurst within the Panthers Foundation's Community Pillar, under its wider Building Young Men and Empowering Young Women program objectives.
Programs delivered include, but are not limited to; BYM mentoring program, BYM mental health programs and BYM Respectful Relationship programs.
This role is supported by funding from NSW Office of Sport and is a part-time (2 days a week) role, on a fixed term contract through to June 30, 2027.
Responsibilities Program delivery of programs under the Building Young Man suite of programs in BathurstCoordination with participating schools as well as reporting on program to both partner schools and Head of Foundation & CommunityOrganisation of end of program celebrations and activities for Building Young Men programsCoordination of all appropriate aspects of Building Young Men Programs in Bathurst, including but not limited to, recruitment of schools, participants and mentors, marketing materials, safeguarding, equipment, reporting and expense budgetsOngoing review and updating of Building Young Men programs throughout the yearSupporting all other Building Young Men and Empowering Young Women team members within the Panthers FoundationSupporting Panthers Foundation activities and initiatives at Panthers home games in Bathurst; and in Penrith when possible and where appropriate Essential qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the same or a similar role/placementTertiary qualification in social work, youth mentoring, or other relevant areaCurrent, valid driver's licenceValid, paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)Current Sports First Aid (or equivalent) and CPR certificationStrong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and meet deadlinesProven communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with schools, community organisations, and internal teamsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional teamCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding and child safety protocolsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to complete reporting and program administration tasks efficiently Desirable qualifications Experience working within Rugby League, sports clubs, or community sports environmentsDemonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering disability, community or school-based sportsExperience in program evaluation and/or event coordinationFamiliarity with culturally inclusive practices and community engagement strategiesAdditional qualifications in youth services or social workQualifications in sports deliveryExperience in delivering school and/or community-based/mentoring activitiesExperience in program development/administration/evaluation/reportingIf you believe you have the necessary skills, experience and most of all PASSION to excel in this position, please apply today
