Job Overview
The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing services. This key position involves strategic leadership, effective management, and contributing to organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
:
Facilitate open communication among staff members.
Ensure timely professional orientation and performance appraisal development.
Participate in decision-making regarding promotions and disciplinary hearings.
Nursing Practice
:
Develop quality improvement projects to achieve desired objectives.
Monitor occurrence variance reports and take follow-up actions.
Act as a resource person for identifying Quality Improvement Projects.
Education and Research
:
Promote competency-based practice that links to performance evaluation.
Assess training needs of nursing staff and participate in formulating training courses.
Remain current regarding issues pertaining to healthcare and nursing at national and international levels.
Quality Improvement
:
Develop control mechanisms to ensure safe standards of nursing care.
Review, analyze, and evaluate service levels.
Other Responsibilities
:
Manage daily operations according to approved policies and procedures.
Ensure efficient use of resources.
Collect and submit statistical data on services and projects.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
:
Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Current practicing license from country of origin with Valid registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a senior specialist.
Minimum eight years' nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, including four years in a leadership position.
Desirable Qualifications
:
Experience in manpower planning and healthcare nursing departments.
