As an Early Childhood Teacher, your responsibilities include developing and delivering funded kindergarten programs within our long day care setting, working in partnership with the leadership team to plan diverse educational programs, including community excursions and in-house activities.
Essential duties include:
Designing and implementing interdisciplinary, play-based learning experiences that incorporate language, literacy, maths, science, and technology, aligned with curriculum goals and frameworks
Advocating for inclusive, equitable, pedagogical practices that respect diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
Maintaining a safe, healthy environment by implementing safety policies and promoting health and hygiene
Planning and evaluating educational excursions and outdoor experiences to enrich learning and promote environmental stewardship
Engaging in ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and contributing to the early childhood education community
What you'll need:
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and VIT Registration
Proven experience with 3 & 4-year-old kindergarten programs
High-level knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Current Working with Children check
First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
Experience working with children of various abilities and interests
