About the Role:
As part of your role, you will also manage our rental fleet of electric bikes, which is a key component of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing the fleet's maintenance, handling client bond returns, managing weekly rental charges, and ensuring bikes are in excellent condition for our customers. Additionally, promoting rental services, especially during low season periods, will be a key responsibility. You'll manage a team in order to bring awareness to the rental fleet and explore creative strategies to increase bookings and expand our customer base.
Business Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop, including scheduling, workshop efficiency, and workflow management.
- Develop and implement operational policies to enhance customer service, streamline processes, and improve overall business performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business health and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage workshop staff, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture focused on teamwork, safety, and excellence.
Customer Service and Sales Management:
- Lead customer service initiatives, ensuring all customers have a positive and professional experience.
- Oversee retail sales of electric bikes, accessories, and related products, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism, resolving issues effectively and maintaining customer loyalty.
- Rental Fleet Management:_
- Oversee the maintenance and management of the rental fleet, ensuring all bikes are in top working condition.
- Manage rental customer accounts, including bond returns and weekly charges.
- Promote rental services, particularly during the off-season, and devise strategies to increase bookings, expanding our reach in the market.
- Ensure seamless rental operations and excellent customer experiences, from booking to bike return.
Inventory and Stock Control:
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking parts, accessories, and bikes, to meet customer demand.
- Implement and maintain an inventory management system to optimize stock turnover and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure timely delivery of products.
Marketing and Community Engagement:
- Organize and oversee promotional events, workshops, and community rides to build brand awareness and foster customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns aimed at increasing customer traffic and sales.
- Represent the business at industry events, ensuring a strong presence in the local community and electric bike industry.
Financial and Compliance Oversight:
- Manage budgets and track financial performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
