**About the role**:
This position plays a key leadership role in shaping and delivering the organisation's governance and information management functions. Leading a committed team of professionals, you'll deliver a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives that strengthen transparency, accountability, and compliance across the organisation. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring Council meets its legislative responsibilities under the _Government Information (Public Access) Act_, _Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act_, _Public Interest Disclosures Act (PID)_, and the _Local Government Act_.

- **We are seeking**:

- Tertiary Qualifications to degree level in a relevant discipline and/or relevant
experience and training.
- Lead and manage governance functions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain governance policies, registers, and corporate delegations.
- Oversee access to information and privacy processes, ensuring legislative compliance.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and deliver clear presentations.
- Analyse complex governance issues and provide strategic advice to leadership.
