National Furniture and Homewares retailer seeking to appoint a new Head of Planning Manager to join their dynamic, product-driven business You will be responsible for leading a team of 10 and overseeing the entire end-to-end Planning functions. You will maximise the sales and profitability of the brand through effective merchandise management and have overall responsibility for the brand across Australia.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Development of seasonal merchandise strategy
- Manage, lead, guide and develop Planning Team members
- Prepare and present to the General Manger for sign off of company budgets including Sales, GM, GMROI
- Work closely with Product teams through the ranging processes
- Inventory management
- Achieving critical financial targets such as sales, stock turn and sell through
- Creation and projection of planning strategies and theories that will enhance performance

**To Be Successful You Will Have**:

- Degree qualified
- Initiative to recognise or identify potential problems early and resolution skills to implement solutions accordingly
- Extensive years of planning experience ideally within a senior position
- Experience of managing a team upwards of 4 direct reports
- Highly skilled in planning software and a high level of excel knowledge
- Retail Planning experience in hardgoods, apparel or accessories
- Ability to manage relationships at all levels
- High developed numerical skills, including accuracy and interpretation
