- About the Role
- We are seeking a passionate and proactive individual to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the WAIO Contractor Management Programs Superintendent, the Specialist Contractor Management Programs role is crucial in ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations, impacting the safety and productivity of our contractor workforce. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive communication framework, event planning initiatives, and digital strategies to engage and support WAIO Contractors and BHP Contractor Management roles. It involves managing various communication channels, forums and events, as well as overseeing reporting dashboards and portals to enhance WAIO contractor management and ensure Contractors execute work safely and efficiently to meet our operational objectives.
- In this role, your responsibilities will include oversight and management of our:
**Contractor Communications Strategy**
- Coordinates Monthly Contractor Operational Forums to engage and consult with external Contractors and internal Contractor Management roles on relevant business/WAIO-wide updates and changes
- Manages WAIO Vendors mailbox and provides technical support or direction to WAIO Contractors for general queries and support requests
- Owns and maintains technical and procedural documentation related to the above
**Executive Contractor Event Planning**
- Coordinates the planning for the annual WAIO Contractor Executive Forum and annual WAIO Contractor Executive Gala on behalf of the WAIO Asset Leadership Team, aimed at fostering collaboration and recognizing contractor contributions
- Liaises with the WAIO Asset Leadership Team to distil the WAIO strategy into relevant impacts and recognition for WAIO Contractors
**Contractor Management Digital Strategy**
- Oversees on-going maintenance and executes improvement initiatives to support the WAIO Contractor Management Performance & Fatigue Dashboards, SharePoint and department Online Customer/Stakeholder Portal, leveraging digital tools to enhance contractor management
- About You
- Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills with an ability to influence at multiple levels with both internal and external parties
- Passionate in event planning and project management with an eye for detail
- Awareness or experience with development or use of digital tools such as SharePoint and PowerBI
- Motivated to provide technical support and guidance on contractor management processes and business requirements internally and externally
- Enjoys solving multi-faceted problems, taking ownership of ideas/solutions and seeing them through to maturity with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
