Transformer Specialist

Due to a consistent and steady rate of company growth; the result of existing and newly awarded work. We have a requirement for a Transformer Specialist to join our Malaga office in Perth, on a Full-Time basis.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate extensive experience with transformer servicing, fault finding, analysis & technical report writing. As well as rectification works on small to large HV distribution transformers

Project management experience would be advantageous and applicants who also have a solid knowledge of rotating machines would be viewed favourably.

**Responsibilities for this position**:
**Required responsibility experience**:
Achieve the deliverables outlined in the 'transformer services' business plan.
Perform work and provide technical support during Maintenance Work, HV and Electrical Testing and Commissioning of HV Power Transformers
Ensure client's requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Powertech clients.
Professionally execute all assigned projects from start to finish.
Work in remote areas within the state, offshore and interstate as required.

**Preferred, but not required responsibility experience**:
Prepare, plan and coordinate work schedules and activities for projects for work covering installation, testing, commissioning & maintenance of HV transformer installations.
Prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations and arrange necessary actions.
Interpretation of analytical data and final review and sign off of all technical documentation.
Ensure ongoing development of standard work procedures, test reports etc.
Internal liaison with business development team.
Leadership and management of 'transformer services' technical staff.
Project manage all assigned projects including invoicing, approving timesheets, job costs etc.
Preparation of estimates and detailed scopes of supply for rfq/rft.
Act as the technical authority for 'transformer services' for internal/external stakeholders.

**Experience, skills and qualifications**:
Must have an electrical trade (current fitter/mechanic electrical license).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in HV distribution transformers.
Perform work and provide supervision for HV Transformer Oil Filtration and Circulation.
Rectification and Refurbishment work of Power Transformers
Installation of New Power Transformers and provide onsite support.
Site Inspections and consultancy for Power Transformers to assist clients with maintenance plans and rectifications or refurbishments.
Familiar with Transformer components and accessories, such as Tap changer systems/ operation.
Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair Transformers
Extensive knowledge of transformer service requirements
Demonstrated interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred experience to demonstrated supervisory and/or project management skills.
Preferred experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
