Job Role Overview
A comprehensive CRM & marketing platform for events is seeking a skilled
Senior Software Engineer
to join its agile engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative new features and maintaining the existing platform.
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of experience in software development, preferably with Java/Scala/Ruby/C#/Haskell/Elixir/Kotlin, and a willingness to learn Functional Programming.
Familiarity with popular technologies like REST, AWS Services (S3, Route 53, Cloudfront, Cloud Formation), deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins), Postgres, and testing frameworks.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Solid understanding of web technologies, including RESTful APIs, HTTP, and JSON.
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL.
Experience with event streaming architecture, including RabbitMq or Kafka.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Designing, developing, and deploying high-quality code to implement new features and enhancements for the platform.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, optimizing performance and scalability as needed.
Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating new tools and techniques into our development process as appropriate.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and development workflows.
