**Join our Team as an Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Lead at Life Saving Victoria**
Are you passionate about fostering a culture of safety and compliance? We're thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Lead to join our dynamic team at Life Saving Victoria (LSV) In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in shaping and overseeing our health and safety strategies, ensuring we maintain a safe and compliant work environment across all our operations.
**Located at our Melbourne Head Office, this part-time role (0.5) will be responsible for**:
- Lead the Charge: Inspire a proactive safety culture and make sure everyone's on board with our safety values.
- Boost Safety Standards: Enhance and implement top-notch safety practices and policies across all LSV operations.
- Innovate and Improve: Bring fresh ideas to the table to keep our workplace safe and compliant with the latest standards.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with management, handle incident investigations, and deliver engaging safety training.
- Manage Risks and Responses**:Conduct risk assessments, oversee emergency plans, and ensure quick action on any safety issues.
**Who Are You?**
You are a proactive and strategic OHS professional with extensive experience in a senior safety role. You bring deep knowledge of OHS legislation and industry best practices, with a proven ability to collaborate with all staff. Your excellent communication and training skills allow you to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation. Strong analytical skills and experience in risk management and budget oversight are also key.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work self-sufficiently and collaboratively are essential. You're energetic, enthusiastic, and innovative, with a knack for developing impactful business cases. A valid Australian Driver's License and relevant qualifications are either in place or on your radar.
Previous experience as an officer in a sporting, educational, emergency service or volunteer-based organisation and knowledge of / or interest in water safety, lifesaving, Life Saving Victoria, Surf Life Saving Australia and Royal Life Saving Society Australia is highly regarded.
