**The Role and You**:
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager the role will expose you to the inner workings of the wider finance team both locally and internationally and product development team, and will be your opportunity to make real change. You won't just be writing reports that will be half implemented - you will be empowered to drive these changes home.

The finance team at WiseTech aims to strike the appropriate balance to deliver effective financial control whilst allowing the business to be agile and grow. We see this role a key step in that journey.

You are a highly organized and methodical thinker, comfortable prioritising and managing multiple deliverables. You are also proficient in identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals on a global scale.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Business partnering with the product development team to understand and explain the ongoing activities within the financial implications of these
- Review capitalized development cost accounting calculations performed by the Senior Accountant
- Investigating variances in capitalized development costs compared to budget and prior periods and explaining variances to stakeholders of both a financial and non-financial background
- Working collaboratively with the FP&A team on capitalized development cost budgeting and re-forecasting
- Managing and coaching a Senior Accountant

**Your Experience**:

- Prior experience in comparable roles or involvement in capitalized development within an IT or software company
- Demonstrated proficiency in building strong professional relationships with stakeholders from a financial and non-financial background
- Strong technical accounting skills with an appropriate accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar) and 4+ years of post-qualification experience
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner
- Strong time management skills to deliver results and manage competing deadlines
