**About the role**
The ERP Program Manager will spearhead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects within the multi-year Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. Your pivotal role involves overseeing the modernisation of Council's systems, implementing streamlined processes for enhanced access to Council information and services, and driving the realisation of associated financial and non-financial benefits. You will serve as the critical liaison between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. By fostering teamwork with various departments and stakeholders, your focus on innovation and quality assurance will be instrumental in the successful delivery of the program.
The Program Manager will take charge of a distinct group of aligned projects within the Transformation. The Program Manager is accountable for managing the program on-a-daily-basis, including Project Managers supporting the stream of work, for both technology and business activities.
As the ERP Program Manager, you will demonstrate competencies across the following areas:
- Lead the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technology programs, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, project managers, and end-users, to define program requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including program roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans, to guide the successful implementation of transformative technology solutions.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, fostering effective communication and understanding of program goals and milestones.
- Analyse and evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes on existing systems, ensuring smooth integration and mínimal disruption to workflows.
- Play a pivotal role in quality assurance processes, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business requirements and exceed expectations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program, leveraging feedback and insights to enhance processes, methodologies, and the overall efficiency of ERP implementations.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring mínimal impact on project delivery and business operations.
- Oversee and collaborate on the management of the Council's significant ERP implementation contracts, working closely with procurement teams to ensure effective contract management and successful execution.
- Participate and lead steering committees at a senior level.
- Provide expert advice, reporting and service to the Mayor, CEO, Councillors and General Managers within a complex legislative system and sensitive political environment.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant bachelor's degree or experience
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (such as Oracle, MS Dynamics, SAP, or similar) and their integration with diverse business functions
- Experience in managing large scale ERP implementation projects
- Extensive experience in Project Management and delivery across small to large scale, complex projects
- Experience with Oracle Cloud products including Oracle HCM (desirable)
