**The Opportunity**: QBuild is a vital part of Queensland's $45 billion building and construction industry. As the Queensland Government's builder, we play an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.Reporting to the Senior Electrical or Mechanical Supervisor, the role works closely with the QBuild Electrical Endorsees (QTPs) and supports the operation of regional mechanical works responsibilities as as well as that detailed in the QBuild Electrical Safety Management System. This includes supervising and providing technical advice to mechanical workers, conducting periodic mechanical and electrical safety meetings, worker site audits, ensuring workers have the required mechanical and electrical tools & safety equipment, ensuring mechanical staff are complying to the safety system requirements. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: - Provide technical advice, services and consultancy to mechanical workers, external clients and authorities. Ensure legislation, industry codes of practice, Australian Standards, documented work methods, and Safety Data Sheets are updated, controlled and communicated to stakeholders.
