Develop and grow with us in our large purpose-built NSW Distribution Centrein Wetherill ParkSupervise and mentor our transport staff and deliver business outcomesNight Shift Roster - Sunday to Thursday 10 pm to 6 amThe Opportunity:TheTransport Operations Supervisor, is an important role within ourDistribution Centre (DC) in Wetherill Park, Sydney supervising all areas of the DC transport operations to ensure effective and efficient distribution to our customer restaurants across NSW and ACT.
In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our transport team and continue to drive our People First culture.You will ensure that the transport team upholds high levels of customer service, our drivers are trained and informed, deliveries are made on time and operations are always conducted with safety as a priority.Day to Day you will:Be responsible for providing a safe working environment free of hazards by completing daily site/department inspections and implementing preventative and corrective actions and promoting a positive culture towards safety and wellnessSupport operations to ensure on time delivery and other service KPIs are achieved with regular reporting to identify issues, gaps or any shortfalls and explore cost effective internal opportunitiesCoach and mentor the transport operations teams to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our CARES values within daily operationsManage daily labour hours in conjunction with scheduledroutes, budgets and volume forecasts.Maintain fleet in compliance with legislative and customer driven requirementsMonitor and review master route schedules for potential efficiencies and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the departmentAssist in the preparation monthly financial reports and monitor the performance against budgets and forecasts.Implement employee training and development initiatives and ensure performance concerns are addressedAbout You:Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role ideally inSupply Chain, Logistics Management or Transport Management industriesExperience within multiple temperature zones within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operational environment would be added advantageAbility to connect and motivate a diverse team through inclusive people management principlesAbility to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve in a dynamic environmentKnowledge and experience of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirementsExperience with Fleet routing and Multi Drop systems eg.
