Develop and grow with us in our large purpose-built NSW Distribution Centre in Wetherill Park Supervise and mentor our transport staff and deliver business outcomes Night Shift Roster - Sunday to Friday, 10 pm to 6 am The Opportunity: The Transport Operations Supervisor is a key role within our Distribution Centre (DC) in Wetherill Park, Sydney.
You will oversee all aspects of DC transport operations to ensure effective and efficient distribution to our customer restaurants across NSW and ACT.
This role requires strong people leadership skills to develop and motivate our transport team and uphold our People First culture.
You will ensure high levels of customer service, proper training and communication for drivers, timely deliveries, and a focus on safety in all operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities include: Providing a safe working environment by conducting daily site/department inspections, implementing preventative and corrective actions, and promoting safety and wellness culture.
Supporting operations to meet on-time delivery and other service KPIs, with regular reporting to identify issues, gaps, or shortfalls, and exploring cost-effective internal solutions.
Coaching and mentoring the transport team to foster an engaged workforce, promoting our CARES values.
Managing daily labour hours in line with scheduled routes, budgets, and volume forecasts.
Maintaining fleet compliance with legislative and customer requirements.
Reviewing master route schedules for efficiencies and encouraging continuous improvement.
Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports and monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts.
Implementing employee training initiatives and addressing performance concerns.
About You: Supervisory experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transport Management industries.
Experience in multiple temperature zones within FMCG environments is an advantage.
Strong people management skills to connect and motivate diverse teams.
Critical thinking skills to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
Knowledge of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirements.
Experience with fleet routing and multi-drop systems like Paragon, MTData, SAP is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced IT skills.
