Carpentry Apprentice

**Position Title** - Carpentry Apprenticeship

**Hours per week** - 40

We are looking for a keen, energetic, and hard-working person to commence an apprenticeship in carpentry with our busy residential construction business.

This is a role with lots of variety You will work with a close-knit team to build timber-framed homes at locations throughout WA.

**During your apprenticeship, you will learn all aspects of residential carpentry, including**:

- Site preparation, concreting and form-work
- Constructing wall and ceiling frames
- Installing exterior cladding
- Roof carpentry
- Roof Sheeting
- Installing windows and doors
- Constructing stairs, balustrades and other internal fittings

**Additional Information**

Although our business is based in Mandurah, you will be required to travel to worksites throughout WA on a regular basis and work away for up to a week at a time. Accommodation and meals will be provided when working away.

**Selection Criteria/Requirements**

The person we are looking for will:

- Have a proven ability to work well in a small team
- Posses a genuine interest and aptitude for carpentry work
- Have experience with a range of hand and power tools
- Be comfortable with working at heights
- Be willing to travel to and work in remote locations
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to follow instructions
- Posses a C-Class WA Drivers License

While experience in the residential construction industry would be an advantage, we will consider any applicants who are willing to learn, display a positive attitude and are committed to completing a carpentry apprenticeship.
