Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and experience in mentoring and guiding nurses in their professional development. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of nursing by providing expert guidance and support to our nursing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a leadership role within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating, training, and developing the skills of our nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality patient care.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to identify learning needs and develop targeted educational programs. Your expertise will help shape the future of nursing practice, improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of care we provide.
Responsibilities
Orientate new staff, Graduates, and students to our facility and their roles and responsibilities during clinical placement.
Ensure patient and staff safety through safe practice and maintain high standards of evidence-based care.
Assist Graduates and staff in applying problem-solving and reflective skills in their clinical practice.
Identify the learning needs of staff within the Mental Health Service.
Promote high standards of nursing care through dissemination of current best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
Minimum 3 years Post Graduate experience.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in your area of specialty.
High-level clinical skills and proven experience in primary areas of practice.
Excellent communication and computer literacy skills.
