We currently have an office in Adelaide, Australia but our team is currently spread across Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Latin America and Canada and we are growing rapidly

**The Position**
As an
**Engineering Manager** at HappyCo, you will be responsible for managing engineers within our product experience teams. You will lead and mentor passionate engineers from diverse backgrounds, across different levels of expertise and use your experience building software solutions to support your team in effectively delivering rapid value to our customers. We are looking for someone who can foster a culture of ownership and positivity whilst ensuring team members are able to achieve meaningful growth while delivering outcomes.
As a senior member of our Product, Design and Engineering team you will have the opportunity to contribute to our product vision and strategy. Collaborating closely with product and design leads, you will help discover and build solutions that solve customers' problems, meet our usability standards, are feasible to build, and are viable for our business.
Each member of our product experience teams is managed by their respective departments. Managing the engineers will require you to be able to accommodate multiple processes and collaborate with members across product, engineering, and design teams to ensure that customer needs and alignment are maintained.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering - Australia this role will be located in our new state-of-the-art office in the Adelaide CBD in either a hybrid or onsite capacity._**
**Week by Week**
**During your first 2-4 weeks you will**:
- Get to know our leadership, culture, and values
- Complete our HappyCo orientation and onboarding program
- Onboard with the product leadership team and learn about our product strategy
- Familiarise yourself with our systems, tools and processes
- Participate in team planning and product design sessions
- Read our favorite industry primers
- Attend your first Company Wide Meeting (monthly)
**During your first 1-6 months you will**:
- Establish at a minimum a fortnightly 1:1 cadence with direct reports
- Get acquainted with our product team triads
- Share insights to help improve our hiring and onboarding processes
- Get to know our customers and the prop-tech industry
**During your first 6-12 months, and beyond you will**:
- Organise & Manage: Maintain suitably staffed teams with the right people in the right seats, and develop the skills of your teams
- Coach & Develop: Meet with your engineers on a regular cadence to ensure they are performing and continually progressing while delivering quality outcomes.
