The Opportunity:
Delaware North Australia are now recruiting highly experienced Demi Chefs, Chef de Parties and Sous Chefs on a casual basis to join our culinary family at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The MCG is one of Australia's most well-loved venues, with a capacity of more than 100,000 and home to several Australian Football League teams, as well as cricket matches, concerts, an array of special events and year-round non-event day functions.

Our Chefs will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-end food offerings across multiple restaurants, corporate dining and functions, including the following:

- Hugh Trumble Café and Paddock Café - all-day dining
- Revered fine dining in the Committee Restaurant - 'by Guy Grossi'
- Members-only modern Australian cuisine in the MCG's famous Longroom & Members Dining Room
- The best of Australian beef & seafood cooked over a wood fire in the Jim Stynes Grill
- Corporate suites dining for up to 2000 guests
- High volume retail food production

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the day-to-day culinary operation across event-day and non-event-day catering
- Maintaining food safety standards during high-volume food preparation
- Support with control of the department budget and food costs
- Demonstrating leadership to a team of casual chefs, cooks and kitchen attendants
- Combining with other F&B arms to provide first-class dining to all customers

What will you bring?:

- Strong culinary foundation with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- A successful track record working in kitchen operations
- Sound knowledge of commercial cooking and venue/event experience
- Experience with stock control
- Appropriate culinary qualifications
- A passion for food and creative flair
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Strong team management and leadership
