Our client is a leading international supplier of biotech technologies, products and solutions to clinical diagnostics market. From its Sutherland Shire facility this company also undertakes the distribution of Australian government testing campaigns (Bowel Cancer for example) and supplies testing kits and reagents to the food industry (testing reagents for allergens, etc.). Some of these products are temperature controlled and ethical drugs. The warehouse supplies direct to customer which includes hospitals and pathology companies as well supplying its field sales force.

The Warehouse Supervisor will take the lead role in guiding the day to day activities of a small warehouse team, including casual staff. This will involve all regular warehouse activity from receiving to putaway, picking, despatch, forklift operation and stock control. Indicatively the successful applicant will:

- Ensure adequate records are maintained for traceability and quality management requirements (ISO:9001)
- Monitor temperature-controlled areas, including warehouse fridges ensuring stock is maintained within required environmental conditions
- Ensure adherence to all WHS processes and standard operating procedures and the maintenance of a safe and clean workplace
- minimum agreed stock levels are maintained and life-limited stock levels are regularly reviewed, (wastage minimised)
- Ensure non-compliance reports are reviewed, and follow-up actions completed within agreed timeframes
- Ensure warranty issues are satisfactorily addressed
- Indentify on-job-training needs of staff and casuals, to be agreed with line manager.

You may be a leading hand looking to take that next step. Alternatively, you may have the experience but be working on a casual basis. You have a strong warehousing background and have demonstrable experience in leading and mentoring small teams; identifying strengths and areas in need of development. As well, you are comfortable in an environment where accurate reporting and stock maintainance are essential.

This is an immediate start for the successful applicant and salary will be negotiated based on experience. A package of $75k plus super is given as a guide.
