**About the role**

**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas, including mowing, pruning, watering, and planting.
- Maintain pathways, driveways, and other hard surfaces, ensuring they are free from debris and hazards.
- Monitor and manage waste disposal and recycling around the grounds.
- Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with landscaping projects and seasonal tasks such as leaf clearing.
- Identify and report any issues or potential hazards on the grounds that require attention.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

**About You**

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking for full time work. Able to complete general maintenance and gardening duties and resolve issues as they arise. To confidently work without a supervisor and who can work collaboratively as a team member.

A dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer, a driven self-starter, with excellent communication and time management skills and a compassionate nature that enjoys talking and spending time with our elderly residents and can build a rapport with others easily.

As the Maintenance Officer, ideally your experience and qualifications include:
**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Proven experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping, and basic horticultural practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and machinery.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
