BaptistCare is one of Australia's largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in the Canberra area.
Responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care.
Help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility and confidence to remain living at home.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team guided by our Well-Living approach to empower clients to live their best possible lives at home.
About You / Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
Demonstrated ability to assess OT needs and develop individualized programs for aged care clients in the community
Postgraduate experience across various aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated computer literacy
Alignment with BaptistCare's values and mission
Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
Unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage insurance
