Occupational Therapist - Home Care

BaptistCare is one of Australia's largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in the Canberra area.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care.
  • Help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility and confidence to remain living at home.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team guided by our Well-Living approach to empower clients to live their best possible lives at home.
About You / Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated ability to assess OT needs and develop individualized programs for aged care clients in the community
  • Postgraduate experience across various aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Alignment with BaptistCare's values and mission
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage insurance
