**Classroom Assistant /Aide Position - Class 6, 2025**

Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School, established in 1972, is a kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational school located in the eastern suburb of Warranwood.

We are seeking a Classroom Assistant / Aide to work with Class 6 in 2025. This is a fixed-term contract for one year. The successful applicant will be available to commence Term 1, 2025.

This position will be 8.45 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday, during school terms.

The Teacher's Assistant / Aide (General Classroom) provides support to enable the students to engage with the curriculum and their class to the best of their ability, both in and out of the classroom setting. The role may include supporting the students during specialist classes, school play, excursions and camps.

Prior experience in an educational setting or in "support education" would be advantageous.

An interest and background in Steiner Education is highly desirable, together with a willingness to learn about the pedagogy through attendance at curriculum days and relevant meetings.

Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check and a sound understanding of, and commitment to, current Child Safety Standards.
