The RMO clinical year consists of 5 terms and all RMOs are expected to undertake terms in both Network Hospitals. The Network has a strong commitment to vocational education and training. Term allocations throughout the network are based on submitted preferences, training needs and career aspirations of the RMO. The network includes St. Vincent's Hospital and Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, and secondment options
to Canterbury Hospital, Westmead Children's, Sydney Children's Hospital, Hornsby and War Memorial Hospital. RMOs are expected to spend at least one term at a rural hospital where they gain strong general experience. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday with rostered ward out of hours and on-call to cover sick relief for ward out of hours. If a term is being completed in Psychiatry, ICU or Emergency Medicine the RMO may work a rotating roster which covers seven days a week, twenty four hours a day.

**What you'll be doing**
Deliver medical care within the context of being the junior member of a multi-disciplinary team. This position is rotational, with 4 or 5 different terms a year. The resident medical officer (RMO) will provide medical care consistent with their level of experience and skills. The RMO will be under the supervision of a career medical officer (CMO) and/or unaccredited, basic or advanced trainee and/or fellow and consultant senior medical officer for all terms and at al times. The RMO will be trained in accordance with the National Australian Curriculum Framework.
- Must have 12 months experience working as a medical officer (not observer) in an Australian Public Hospital
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters
- Prepared to rotate in other hospitals within the Network
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
