**An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Associate Director Medicolegal to join our General Counsel department.**

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the North East of Melbourne and state-wide. **About the role**:
The principle function of the Medicolegal Unit is to coordinate and manage Austin Health's medicolegal processes (primarily involving medicolegal litigation, Coroner's Court and Victorian Police) in concert with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that Austin Health meets its legal and insurance obligations and supports staff through those processes.

This role requires someone who has had clinical experience in an acute patient care setting who has the ability to understand and interpret medical records and critically assess clinical information.

The Associate Director is responsible for the Medicolegal Unit.
