St Columba Anglican School Port Macquarie is a co-educational ELC - 12 campus set on 37 picturesque acres in the heart of Port Macquarie's Education Precinct.
While residing in one of the state's most liveable regions on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, our staff work with students and families who are optimistic, aspirational, and engaged in a nurturing educational community.Beginning late January 2025 for an orientation and handover, the School is seeking to appoint a Receptionist.The primary role of the Receptionist is to provide an exceptional 'first impression' to visitors to St Columba Anglican School, either in person or over the phone.
In performing this role, the receptionist will reflect the School's values, Anglican ethos, and reputation.
This position also provides administrative support to the broader administration team as well as teaching and support staff.Your warm and approachable manner, along with your professionalism and discretion, will be key to your success in this role.This is a full-time ongoing position; however, consideration will be given to applicants with the requisite knowledge and experience for a part-time role.
What you bring Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with young children, staff, parents, and the community.High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong IT skills with experience in TASS, SEQTA, and Google Workspace software systems desirable.Outstanding personal presentation.Demonstrated capacity to maintain discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters.Ability to work as a team member.
The successful applicant will Have initiative, a can-do positive attitude, and balance multiple competing priorities while meeting timeframes and performing in a high-pressure environment with limited direction.Have previous experience in a similar position.Have judgment and discretion, recognize and resolve issues ahead of time, and anticipate and respond to the needs of the School.Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to change.Be highly approachable and a relationship builder who can negotiate confidently with a range of key internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrate a commitment to supporting the Christian values, Anglican ethos, and culture of the School.

Mandatory Criteria The applicant must have or be able to obtain prior to commencing work, a current Working with Children Check.
