Are you passionate about creating a positive and inclusive workplace? Do you thrive in a dynamic, creative environment? Hassell Studio, a leading global design firm, is looking for a dedicated People & Culture Business Partner to join our Sydney team for a 15-month maternity cover.
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you'll be working closely with our Studio Leadership team to make sure our people have a great experience. You'll play a key role in maintaining our supportive, innovative, and inclusive culture.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with studio leaders to bring HR best practices to life, making sure they align with our business goals.
- Oversee the entire employee journey from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring everyone feels engaged and supported.
- Guide performance discussions and manage review processes to help our team grow and improve.
- Create a positive workplace by addressing employee concerns and mediating conflicts.
- Identify and support opportunities for growth, designing programs that help our team advance in their careers.
- Participate in initiatives that support our business goals, including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and talent retention.
- Keep us on track with employment laws and company policies, making updates and communicating changes as needed.
**Qualifications**
A solid background in HR, ideally with experience in professional services, design, or a creative environment.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ability to work well with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of current Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and modern awards is essential.
- Skilled at guiding and influencing leaders on HR matters, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, able to handle complex HR issues with discretion.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle multiple priorities.
