Zappala Quarries Pty Ltd., a 100% locally owned and operated blue metal quarry, is currently seeking an experience Truck Driver to join our team in a permanent role based at our quarry in Gordonvale.

Reporting directly to the Onsite Manager you will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • "Can do" attitude, exceptional work ethic and be a reliable team member
  • Promote and foster a culture where safety is paramount
  • Minimum 2-3 years' HC experience
  • Physically and mentally fit to undertake duties

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily pre-start checks, reporting any maintenance concerns;
  • Deliver quarry material to various sites
  • Complete daily time sheets and plant fault/service reports accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Record and maintain Drivers Daily Worksheet;
  • Be proactive on all OH&S and environmental issues ensuring best practice is adopted at all times;
  • Initiate corrective actions when required;
  • Undertake and complete daily work orders diligently and efficiently;
  • Function as a team player, promoting excellent work ethic and motivation among all employees
  • Keep allocated truck clean

This role is a full time role. Week day hours are 6.00am – 5.00pm including daily overtime, and regular Saturday overtime.  Zappala Quarries offer good working conditions, a positive team environment and a competitive pay rate.

Candidates MUST be willing to undergo a Pre-Employment Physical including Drug & Alcohol testing.
