Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, located in Melbourne, VIC. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Daily tasks include posting transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and preparing tax returns. The Accountant will also work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and transaction posting
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation
  • Ability to conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
