About the client:

Our client is a global consultancy delivering enterprise-grade database solutions across high-volume applications. This role supports Oracle database optimisation and development for a long-term project in Western Australia.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Application DBA / Oracle Developer to lead PL/SQL optimisation and database design efforts. You'll analyse existing procedures, develop new database objects, and ensure efficient query performance across large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise PL/SQL and SQL scripts for performance and stability.
  • Analyse and redesign existing packaged procedures.
  • Develop new database objects aligned with application requirements.
  • Apply plan stability techniques, profiles, and hints to tune queries.
  • Troubleshoot application-specific database issues and ensure reliable performance.

Required Experience:

  • Proven expertise in PL/SQL and SQL optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of query tuning and plan stability.
  • Experience designing and developing Oracle database objects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
